About the room
Prime location on the Upper West Side. Located a 1-minute walk from the 86th Street 1 station, a 10-minute walk from the 2/3 at 96th Street, and a 10-minute walk from the B/C at 86th Street. Located right around the corner from Mermaid Inn, Candle Cafe, Carmines, Barney Greengrass, and e’s bar. There are various grocery stores within a 5-minute walk, and 2 laundromats within a 2-minute walk.
Available bedroom has 1 rear-facing window and is cozy and quiet. There is a full size closet with room for a decent size dresser (the dresser in the pictures is available to you if you so choose). Bed shown in pictures is a full, but there is room for a queen instead. The apartment is a 4th floor walk-up and has a spacious kitchen with a dishwasher and living space in addition to your bedroom, which is in the small walkway on the left shortly upon entering the apartment.
The current lease lasts through 1 October at which point there will likely be the opportunity to renew. Required upon approval of the leasing agency is first month’s rent and a 1-month security deposit. Rent is $1450 per month, and the current tenant will take care of all utility costs.
About the roomie
Roommate is a 27 year old sommelier and works evenings. I have been living with him for years and have never had any complaints about noise, cleanliness, or attitude. Really pleasant guy to live with, and there is a good chance that the two of you will have opposing schedules and will rarely see each other. A 23-pound Shiba Inu will also be living in the apartment. His name is Kody and he is 3. He’s a shy sweetheart, and the only time I’ve ever heard him bark is at the dog park, and he will be the sole responsibility of the current tenant; it is only asked that you not be dog-averse.
